For one of our assignments we had to pitch an RFP to the class. It could be on any subject you chose. I decided to do mine on my family business. That way I would have a lot of experience in the area and I would know exactly what I was talking about.
I felt like this was a really good assignment to do. It really helped me understand the purpose of an RFP. I had heard that term before but I never knew exactly what it meant. After having to put one together, I now know that it is a way to pitch an idea to someone. A file where you gather all of your information into one area so that you can present that to whoever it needs to go to. Writing this RFP helped me to learn more about the company and to learn how to dig up information and display that in a way that people will understand what needs to be done.
